Madsen, Kneppers & Associates, Inc. is seeking Estimators with minimum of 8 years of experience. Education in Cost Estimation is preferable (QS, R.I.C.S. or similar). Experience in property loss estimating is desirable. Membership of ASPE and AACE International are desirable. Travel required.

Senior Mechanical Engineer
Madsen, Kneppers & Associates, Inc. is seeking licensed degreed Mechanical Engineer with the following experience in insurance and litigation related work.

- Must be a Degreed BSME -- PE Engineer -- licensed in NV, CA, AZ or ability to obtain license
- Mechanical Engineer with Residential and Commercial HVAC Design and Construction Experience
- Knowledge of Mechanical and Plumbing Codes
- Ability to investigate in-depth failure analysis and identify causation
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be willing to travel
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Licensed HVAC, Plumbing contractor a plus
- Ability to estimate the cost of systems and/or repairs a plus

Forensic Structural Engineer
Madsen, Kneppers & Associates, Inc. is seeking a licensed Forensic Structural Engineer.

The candidate must have the following minimum qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering.
- Be licensed engineer in the State of California; licensed or ability to get licensed in other states.
- 7 years of engineering experience; 3 of which providing Forensic Structural Engineering services.

Senior Construction Estimator
Madsen, Kneppers & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Senior Construction Estimator.

Duties: Provide quantum analysis through remeasurement, examination and subsequent costing relative to building codes and bylaws, and provide guidance in property loss estimates, construction audits, defective construction, and delay/disruption claims. Manage negotiations with insurance carriers, adjusters, and attorneys to determine institutional, industrial, and/or commercial/residential developmental remediation cost estimates, construction costing analysis, payment recommendations, and cost reporting following an accident or disaster. Interpret and interpolate all development levels of drawings and specifications to produce estimates comprising: labor, material, and equipment. Use On-screen TakeOff and/or Microsoft Access Based Estimation Software in examination and cost analysis, estimating, and reporting. Prepare all forms of construction estimates, including: new construction and remediation, construction repairs, and construction depreciation estimating. Advise on bidding procedures. Analyze bids, and recommend awards. Monitor and adjust contract expenditures. Work with engineers, architects, owners, insurance adjusters, contractors, and subcontractors to finalize cost estimates. Prepare interim payment recommendations for the duration of projects and manage project costs applicable to all construction processes using quantity surveying techniques such as construction cost management and forecasting. Supervise three (3) junior estimators.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying. Five (5) years of post-bachelor's degree progressive experience in estimation for institutional, industrial, and/or commercial/residential development projects. Experience must include: managing project costs using quantity surveying techniques such as construction cost management and forecasting; interpreting project schedules to calculate delay claims as a result of a loss and/or accident; concurrently handling multiple remediation projects valued at $1 million or more; knowledge of property damage assessment, remediation consulting, claim settlement negotiations; and knowledge of Onscreen TakeOff and Microsoft Access Based Estimation Software.
